Seems like this device has some design deficiencies. What is your experience?
There are no design deficiencies as such, other than the initial lot for this model had some data loss issues related to bad firmware, which Toshiba fixed by an upgrade. The one I own is of later series and wasnt recalled.
The greatest advantage i see with this device is its built in Wi-Fi adapter with a seamless connectivity to any wireless network. works great for me in the office and at home, and anywhere in between wherever you can find an open network...used to be a blessing while in NY where you can get hold of many stray wireless signals ;)
The greatest disadvantage, on the other hand, is that Toshiba has abandoned its support for Windows mobile 2003 for e740. So, anyone who has this model is kind of stuck with 2002 version of windows. However, with 2002 version you can still go online and do chatting and stuff (both msn n yahoo messengers are supported).
