In Pakistan , we normally use Mosque’s Loud speakers to warn the people

So what exactly anyone supposed to do in response to ‘advanced warning’ of a natural occurrence (which by the way, can never be accurately forecast in advance?
What was KPK govt expected to do? evacuate Peshawarites to somewhere else? Just wondering

Another thing is that those who have faced cyclones, people are advised to stay indoors. It’s more dangerous outside as compared to indoors. It was a natural calamity of enormous scale, if some people want to play politics over that it’s fine. But nothing could have been done to avoid the losses of both humans as well as property.

They could’ve warned localities to stay tuned and be ready for making announcements as well as rescue efforts in case storm does hit the city.

How often do we get cyclones in Peshawar? Rescue efforts are on, to the best of KPKs ability.

Since you subscribe to the Qaim Ali Shah model of dramas, I wont comment. But as chairman of the party, or as CM of KPK, Imran and Khattak’s priority should not be to rush for photo-ops, but to create a better recovery environment. KPK is perhaps the poorest of all the provinces, and still they have managed fairly well, considering the circumstances.

In that case the govt should’ve paid attention to the warning from Met department IMHO, unless govt can show prior 20-30 failed warnings to prove why they ignored this warning.

Glad to know there are/were some conscious people in PTI, have not seen many resignations on failure of party. On the other hand, its a slap on Pervez Khattak, I have said it in past and will say it again PK is Zardari/Rahman Malik of PTI.
