There are no major "happening" tourist districts like London then?

Back in my college days, Queen St. W was the place to be. We went to Kensington Market alot, to all the thrift and 'world' shops. Then to BlackMarket another punk, thrift shop. We hung out at Lee's Palace, the El Macombo for live bands. I also liked to go to China town to the vegetarian Buddhist restaurants. The Eaton Centre was also fun or the record shop that stays open past midnight (Sam's?). I remember Toronto being a really fun city, but then I knew alot of crazy people back then.

Seems cool.

Queen Street is the gay hangout now, isn't it?

Queen street is huge. not all of it is the gay hangout.
and if u havent visited toronto as of yet, than its too late. the summer's almost over and so are other fun stuff.

so what's the verdict.. is there one such place which you just HAVE to see in Toronto .. like without visiting it or seeing it u wouldn't have seen Toronto.. (other than CN tower & Niagra Falls of course)

the corner of younge and bloor. it'll be your toronto version of orchard road in singapore, soho in new york.

that and downtown unionville, that's a definate...seriously.

no CN tower? or that ferry from downtown to those islands?

dang.. i wasted three days for nothing.

that Druad street thing is pretty cool... well if ur visiting from a city like melbourne, this street is different....

umm theres this park i was meant to see called hmmm ive no idea.. i shall find out from my cousin.. its supposed to be good for trekking

That'd be church street.

well, best clubs are on Richmond & Adelaide st., you can check out Joker, LaRuge, Gspot, Limlight, Docks etc. on Saturday night. Indian Motercylce, if you looking for desi chicks, have'nt been there in a while now.

There are a couple nice chinese resturants on Spadina, RollSans and Swatoo, always a lineup on weekends. Couple Thai resurants near college and young st. Young street downtown is the place to be after the hockey game, all white/gino girls in their tight tops, and real friendly too ;) can go yatting on Sunday morning on Cherry beach. Their is also a nice jogging/biking trail there. I usually jog there on sundays.

areas to avoid: jane/finch, kippling/finch, bloor/landsdown, queen/landsdown

Casino Rama in Niagra falls, marine land, wonderland etc. Lots a things to do, you'd need a couple week atleast!
