Hello there, I am so glad I found this forum. I am looking for some ideas/suggestions. We are planning a summer wedding in Toronto (early July).

First thing I need is a house for rent. I am not finding a house on vrbo or airbnb that will allow us to have events at home. We like to do a small family gathering (50 people) as a welcome dinner for everyone coming from outside. We too are traveling from LA to Canada so everything is new for us as well. Anyone know of a desi real estate agent that may be aware of house in Markham/Vaughn area that is available for 5-7 rental that will allow events?

The second thing I need help with is that I am hoping to hold a lunch gathering the day after the wedding. Is there a halal restaurant with banquet hall that would be good for 50-75 people? I don’t want the hassle of renting a hall, renting chairs etc. Any ideas/suggestions?

I'm not too sure about realtors - I think in general you will have trouble finding a house where you can throw a party in.
However, Toronto is filled with banquet halls where you don't need to do a thing except choose the menu. Some even come with centerpieces /stage decor etc. Some banquet halls to consider:
- Maple Banquet Hall
- Candle Banquet Hall
- Capitol Banquet Hall

Thank you for the suggestion above. We ended up booking the Red Rose convention center.

I did find a house from a really nice lady but its too far. I found her ad in Kiijiji. I will continue looking and let's hope I can find something in the Markham/Vaughn area.
