Re: Toronto Turkish Festival

I have been missing the turkish festival here in DC for two yrs in a row now  mainly because it was always held during ramazan. This yr however it will be right after ramazan from the looks of it and if it is then I’ll surely go. I wish to get another tea-leaf reading :hula:

Re: Toronto Turkish Festival

Turkish girls are super hot.

Re: Toronto Turkish Festival

Ok i am interested in going. Me and Madscientist are in. Who else is interested PM me and we can have a mini guppy meet at the festival and have a lot of fun. :)

Re: Toronto Turkish Festival

Their food is yumm, maybe a little bland for our taste but still good and desserts are even better. This friend of my mums would make these tiny little buns which were dipped in syrup topped with pine nuts or pumpkin seeds, gosh they were so good. And don't forget the tea leaf reading, they r fun and even a little freaky.

Re: Toronto Turkish Festival

What is a tea leaf reading?

you also get coffee readings, not with the kind of coffee we have here but turkish/greek coffee which r more rich, have this residue which settles at the bottom of the cup and forms swirls and shapes once thec up is turned upside down.

When my parents were in Turkey in the mid 70’s one of her friends did it for her just for fun. She told her that she could see her standing somewhere with a lot of people, a LOT, and she was having an animal sacrificed, she was with 4-5 people immediately next to her. Next yr my parents and daadi went for haj and surprisingly my naana/naani decided to go ther same yr too and coincidently even ran in to each other at the kaaba.

Re: Toronto Turkish Festival
