how long would it take to drive to vanvoucer from toronto? anyone ever tried it?

depends on how many drivers... how many stop-overs etc. - with a couple of drivers to take turns, 4 days would be a good estimate if all you do is stop-over for nightly naps - a couple of days longer if you wanna do sight-seeing along the way.
I've been planning a road-trip for ages... I just never get around doing it.
Its around 5000 km so if you average 100 km/h (yeah... right!), you'll be 50 hours behind the wheel.

It takes about 50 Hours to calgary and 12 hours more to Vancouver so all togather 62 hours non stop drive. and also be aware the road is single two way drive and be very care full as in summer there are dangoureous animals on the way too. so better to drive in the day lights only.
but no doubt it is a good idea to travel by own vehicle.

i went by greyhound bus..even with tons of breaks and stopovers and changing of buses..i was there in 3 days..so, i assume that by car it might be less time.. the bus ride is relaxing..you watch movies all the time and can use washroom on the bus at your convenience..and the 14 day advance purchase is only $214 return trip..so you might wanna try that

It would be senseless to drive across Canadian two-way traffic roads with gas prices almost double to USA. I say enter into Buffalo and drive across USA to Seattle and then re-enter Canada via Vancouver, BC.

Took us around 92 hours, two drivers, rented vehicle, inlcuding some sight seeing. Must admit scenes are awesome. Worth driving.

Fungi for some its the destination and for some its the journey. For the journey (ROAD TRIP!!!) types, going thru canada maybe be more worthwhile.
