Ok i need high speed internet service ..anything above 6.0 mbps download speed.
My budget is $80 per month…I know rogers only has about 4 or 5mbps …but thats still to slow…any other suggestion?

I thought Rogers High Speed Extreme is the fastest residential service around with 5 mbps downloads, followed by Bell High Speed Ultra at 4 mbps.
Magma and Wintel are next in line.

Cogeco is a subsidiary of rogers… only available in some areas - again speed’s no different.

what about Telus, Shaw and Videotron?

Telus... not comparable in prices or features to Rogers and Bell
(its ADSL - upto 4 mbps)
Shaw... again a sister company of Rogers only in North & West Canada.
Videotron... only in Montreal (Quebec) from what I know.

hhehe looks like he is stuck with Rogers then :D and there is no way he is gonna get 6Mbps downstream with a DSL service.

wait for ontario hydro to introduce their highspeed internet service to be carried over the existing power lines :D atleast in that budget :-p so wait till 2006...

My brother works with peel board of education and he told me that some schools already have that service with ontario hydro! and they are going public by early next year

10Mbps for 55 Canadian!!! Dayum! Thats a pretty good deal. I hope they deliver what they offer as well. I knew there was something about this Cogeco.

wohi tow mey bol raha tha - I betchya gonna hafta move to Hamilton or St. Catherines to get that high-speed… they can’t afford to offer it in high population areas
