Toronto Guest houses / Hotels

Salam all,

I need help, we are looking for cheap but very decent places to stay in Toronto. I have bulleted our requirements and also something about the traveller, so please all you Torontians give your ideas. Thanks in advance.

  • Need something for 3 nights, has to be clean and we don’t mind a shared bathroom. The room needs to be in a part of town that is very accessible by public transport.

  • We are ok with either downtown or near the airport but need advise as to what would be best in terms of seeing toronto places of interest.

  • Following are the places that on the list of must see
    *** Niagara Falls
    *** Downtown
*** Visit some friends in Missisauga, and Richmond Hill

  • Travel back and forth from Airport.

The room will be needed for 3 nights, and the cheaper the better.

Re: Toronto Guest houses / Hotels

when are you planning to visit?

there are apartment hotels in downtown core. it's abit cheaper than hotel but NOT whole lot cheaper...something in the range of $100-150 a night for a 3 bedroom apartment. they are fully furnished with TV's, appliances, swimming pools, gym etc.

getting to Niagara Falls isn't a huge problem as we have regular bus services as well as escorted tours.

TTC [Toronto Transit System] is a good public transportation system. dependable, safe and clean. there is a Greyhound Airport Bus Service to/from Pearson International Airport at a very resonable cost.

Re: Toronto Guest houses / Hotels

It is for a single gentleman, above 60 years.

Re: Toronto Guest houses / Hotels

I would suggest getting a place in Mississauga and probably getting a place in a Holiday inn express or similar, best if he gets one on Dixie & 401, will be spending around 70-80 a night, very accessible area and once he gets to square 1 he can pretty much find transport to anywhere in GTA as well as direct buses to Niagara falls. As KKF said there are quiet a few guided tours available so its not going to be hard for him get there. The mississauga transit system is good andit will be easier for him to get to places, i believe this will only be a lil far from his relatives in Richmond Hill.

Re: Toronto Guest houses / Hotels

transport system in Mississauga is not that great......
are the relatives able to pick him up and drop him back off if he stays downtown?

Re: Toronto Guest houses / Hotels

No Muzna, it would be week days so I don't think that would be possible.
