تین سوال

For English speaking (writing) members;

  1. Is hiding the truth same as telling a lie?
  2. Not speaking for an oppressed same as helping the oppressor?
  3. Is a blind faith on your wisdom and intellect a type of “Shirk”?

I will appreciate if you may write a little more than “yes” or “no”

Thanks…

Re: تین سوال

iN MY OPINION:

  1. Yes Can be, Not always
  2. Yes Can be - there is different degrees
  3. Depends on situation.

ON point 3 Hakim Murad who is a student and lecturer on Islam, in his video on the salafi fallacy, said to bypass the tradition and to go to the Quran and Sunnah directly is to set up ones own judgement as being superior to all of those others of great armies of purified souls is a form of implicit Shirk. Which i understand to be a reference to Shirk Al-Asghar - Riya/ostentation [Showing off]

Our Nation is expected to be effected by Riya, More in its latter period then its early period. It has been described as a form of polytheism by Asrar Rashid in his video A Dagger in the heart of …and He cited it as a reason for the emergence of Ahle Tasawwuf [sufis] in the period of the salaf. Again I understood this to be a reference to shirk Al-Asghar

Re: تین سوال

  1. Is hiding the truth same as telling a Lie?

No! it all depends on the circumstances and the situation:

say you come face to face with the Ugliest person you ever seen.

will you speak the truth and hurt their feelings?

  1. Not speaking for an oppressed same as helping the oppressor?

No!

If you are able to do something, or speak out against the oppressor, if not then at least pray for the oppressed!

  1. Is a blind faith on your wisdom and intellect a type of “Shirk”?

Loaded Question, May be…May be Not!

La Iqrah fideen!
