OK, calling all Lord of the Rings and History buffs. You MUST watch the preview for ‘300’, in theaters March 7th, 2007. This movie is about the last stand by the Greeks against the Persian armies at the mountain pass of Thermopylae. 300 Greek soldiers held back an army of over a million Persians until a Greek soldier betrayed them. The 300 were slaughtered but they made a significant dent in the Persian forces.
The movie looks like eye candy, if you enjoyed the Lord of the Rings trilogy, you will appreciate this movie. You can watch the high definition trailer for this film on quicktime at:
You might have to download and install the latest version of Quicktime, but trust me, it’s worth it. After watching this preview, how can anyone NOT want to go into battle?!
I've been hearing incredible things about this movie for well over a year now and can't wait to see it. It's been hyped from everyone I know that's heard/worked on this so I hope I'm not getting my hopes up, but when I first saw that trailer it just partially reaffirmed my love for Miller's stuff. March seems like far too long a time to wait.
