True, in other words "encouraging good" and "discouraging bad" is part of human nature and also taught by all major religons, specially Islam, because personal bad deeds of many individuals ultimately has a negative impact on the whole society.
I call it pocking nose in the other people's matters.
For example. Drinking might be considered as a personal act by many people, but if we study the crime report, we come to know that most rapes, sexual abuses, incest, killing and traffic accidents are casued by people having some percentage of alcohol in their body.
What crime report are you reffering to?
I don't think it is the right example because people are hurt and killed by non drinkers as well.
