If there’s no Islamic reference for prohibiting non-muslim visiting these places then I don’t buy Zakir Naik’s logic. He’s gets funded by Saudis so obviously his opinion would be in their favour. And we don’t make nukes in there so comparing it to Pentagon is stupid.

They don’t make nukes inside the Pentagon either, but I know where you’re coming from.

Regarding the Islamic Reference:

“Oh you who believe! Truly the idolaters are unclean; so let them not, after this year, approach the Sacred Mosque…” (9:28)."

This of course does not apply to Christians and Jews, but it might explain the background of the general restriction. Apart from that: The place is so crowded anyway and managing the masses is a huge challenge. Allowing Non-Muslims to visit would create logistic issues, I believe.
