I remember when Top Ten used to be hosted by Fakir-e-Alam in the early 90s and it was such a battle at the house to watch it! Parents always wanted to watch something more sober —>

Anyway, can someone please update the Top Ten for those of us who don’t have the privilege of watching Prime PTV!

A regular update would be greatly appreciated!

I watched Sur Street today and according to it, the top 5 songs were as follows:

waise to there are too many pakistani songs that i am in love with..so its hard to make a top 10 list..but here are some of the songz i like listening to very much…
here are my top 10:

Aamir Saleem and his title song of his new album “KHWAB”. I like the “jazz” in it.
Jupiters and their track Mundri from their album “BAALI”
Hadiqa Kiyaniz “Chehray” from her upcoming album (i have the digital version of it on MD)
Rafaqat Ali Khanz “Allah Tera Shukriyaa” from his album “Chaand say Chehray”
Fakhar-e-Alamz Dherti Ki Kasam

6)daman chudaky by Sharjeel umar (it haz got a funkkkkky beat to it)

7)Heer Ranjah feat shazia by DJ KENDEL

8)Dildar Sadqe from the album A Tribute to Legend Madam Noor Jahan(remixed) by SONIC

u r right. Sab say pehlay STN nay MCC shuru karaya Music Channel Charts…jo hit geya…is kay baad PTV walon kay kaha ham kiyoon peechay rahain so they started “VCD” Video Count Down(most of the episodes were hosted by Nadeem Jaafri), or phir unhi dinon main VJ(Video Junction) shuru ho geya, jo kay mera favourite tha. Faisal Qureshi and Ibrahim were really funny VJz…
fakhar-e-alam ka jab pehli daffa gaana challa “bhangra payo I”…to ussi waqt HIT ho geya or phir wo MCC ka VJ ban geya. i always liked his style of presenting the songz and his way of talking

I've only heard one song by Ali Sher. I thought his song "Sham" was really good. The video is pretty classy too.

ASN, do you know how long this guy's been around? And does he have an album, is it any good?

hez been around since the dayz of VJ...his first song was released on VJ-vol-1...'har paal' by ali sher...then a few more solos were released in next few years...he did composing and arranging of a few songz on hadiQa's album 'rooshni'...and last year released his solo debut album 'yaadon mein'...itz a very hi good album with nice lyricz and music...

Brings back nice memories.
I remeber every friday night i used to wait for mcc to come on, it was such a great show.
does anyone remeber the guy and the girls name who hosted mcc before fakher e alam.
then came all the ripoff shows, which I completely hated.
after couple years, fakhr moved to pepsi's top of the pops.
current songs in pakistan are no where compared to how the songs in early ninties used to be.
