Top Taliban arrested from Where?????? Afghanistan (Shame on Karazai from blaming Pak)

For once, Pakistanis are vindicated. This top beardo Taliban was arrested in Kandhar. Off course that doesn’t mean that Pakistani Taliban are any less of trouble. It is just that Karazai $hite mouth should be shut for a while.

Afghan Kommies! We feed you, we clothe you, and then at the very first opportunity you bite the same hand that fed you. Damn Kabuli Kommies.

Top Taleban commander ‘arrested’
** One of the most important Taleban leaders, Mullah Dadullah, has been captured in Afghanistan, Afghan officials have told the BBC. ** The senior military commander was said to have been detained by international troops in southern Kandahar province.
Mullah Dadullah was a member of the Taleban’s 10-man leadership council before the US-led invasion in 2001.
The US-led coalition in Afghanistan has been pursuing Mullah Dadullah for more than four years.
The Taleban have not confirmed the arrest and there has been no official confirmation from the Afghan government or US military.
** ‘Brutal’ **
Mullah Dadullah has been blamed for much of the recent violence in the southern province of Helmand where thousands of British troops are being deployed.

Officials in Helmand say scores of militants and 13 policemen have been killed in fighting this week.

Our correspondent says Mullah Dadullah is very close to the Taleban leader, Mullah Omar. Mullah Dadullah has survived a number of attacks and lost one leg in battle.
He has a reputation for being one of the Taleban’s most brutal commanders.
High-ranking Afghan officials have told the BBC that he was captured in Kandahar and is being held by the coalition forces.
There are no details as to how he was caught.
** Fierce fighting **
Three years ago, Mullah Dadullah told the BBC that the Taleban, deposed in 2001, hoped to regain power in Afghanistan.

He said the Taleban would fight until "Jews and Christians, all foreign crusaders" were expelled from Afghanistan.

In December 2005 a court in Pakistan sentenced Mullah Dadullah to life in prison for trying to kill conservative Islamic politician Maulana Mohammad Khan Sherani in 2004. Mr Sherani escaped unhurt.
Up to 100 people have died this week in some of Afghanistan’s fiercest fighting since US-led forces ousted the Taleban.
In addition to the Helmand fighting, at least 25 militants died in two separate clashes in Kandahar.
A US national was killed by a suicide bomber in Herat. Another bomber blew himself up at an Afghan army base in the city of Ghazni as a US military convoy was passing. The bomber and a civilian were killed.
Our correspondent, Alastair Leithead, says there is no doubt the strength of the insurgents has been increasing and the thousands of British and international troops moving into the south will have their hands full.

Re: Top Taliban arrested from Where?????? Afghanistan (Shame on Karazai from blaming Pak)

Afghanistan needs to much more to tackle it's own terrorists.

Re: Top Taliban arrested from Where?????? Afghanistan (Shame on Karazai from blaming Pak)

They are on both sides of the border

Of course Pakistan will protect them, when the US dumps Afghanistan and Pakistan again, they will be used by Pak for its own purposes

Re: Top Taliban arrested from Where?????? Afghanistan (Shame on Karazai from blaming

I wish that Be-ghairat namak haraams in Kabul say the same thing.

Re: Top Taliban arrested from Where?????? Afghanistan (Shame on Karazai from blaming

Oh my, one arrested in Afghanistan. What about all the ones arrested in Pakistani cities? You know, the ones that Musharaff hands off to the US under the media spot light. How many top taliban are arrested in Pakistan compared to Afghanistan?

Re: Top Taliban arrested from Where?????? Afghanistan (Shame on Karazai from blaming Pak)

^^^ yes they were arrested and handed over to US, cause they ran from Afghanistan and were afghanis.
we arrested them and sent them out.

Karzai is saying we are sending Pakistanis to Afghanistan to kill.

compare in the context. if they were arrested more in Pakistan cause Pakistani were effecient in curbing them. Kabul mayor is not able to that in his own country on that scale.

Re: Top Taliban arrested from Where??? Afghanistan (Shame on Karazai from blaming Pak)

KABUL, Afghanistan - Four years after its defeat, the Taliban struck hard across Afghanistan in attacks including a car bombing that killed an American contractor — one of 105 people who died in Thursday’s clashes.

The Taliban’s comeback is not only on the battlefield, but, increasingly, in the hearts and minds of Afghans. Why?

Analysts say the democratic values embodied by Afghan President Hamid Karzai haven’t caught on.

“In a lot of parts of the country, nothing really has changed from a few years ago,” says Brad Adams of Human Rights Watch.

Poverty here is still inescapable. So is religious intolerance. It shocked the West in March when Afghans called for the death of Abdul Rahman, a Muslim who dared convert to Christianity. In the end, Italy granted him asylum. That angered fiery clerics who said Rahman should be beheaded. Many Afghans agree.

“Freedom of religious may apply to other religions, but not to Islam,” says one Afghan man.

It’s why the 2,000 to 3,000 Afghan Christians, like Sahar — not his real name — worship in cellars, always fearing the knock on the door might be the police.

“Democracy is just talk here,” he says. “There is no freedom. The Islamic extremists control the government.”

Despite some $12 billion in aid and the loss of more than 220 U.S. soldiers, many Afghan men in the street want the Taliban back**.**

Increasingly, the Taliban is seen here as a protector of Islamic values against the invasion of Western ways.

Kabul is now dotted with luxury hotels and malls, and Afghans say they like their higher salaries, but not the crime and prostitution that are also on the rise.

“We need the Taliban,” one Afghan man says. “Otherwise Westerners and foreigners will corrupt our religion.”

Some Afghans are enjoying a new prosperity, but amid signs of a resurgent Taliban, that wasn’t supposed to happen.

Karzai jee needs a little soul-searching. Then he needs a lot of construction workers to erect a fence.

Re: Top Taliban arrested from Where?????? Afghanistan (Shame on Karazai from blaming Pak)

Are there any posters from Afghanistan here? I have a couple of questions for them.

1- How many members new Afghan cabinet has?
2- How many of them are Pashtuns?

No, actually I wanted to know the composition of new cabinet. I've read that it has around 200 members of which 2 can speak Pashtu. Out of these 2 Pashtu speakers, one is Turkman. I wanted some sort of confirmation. It's important to know exactly where these accusations are coming from, and how Pashtun represntative this Kabul government is.

Re: Top Taliban arrested from Where?????? Afghanistan (Shame on Karazai from blaming Pak)

I dunno about that, but as far as I know enough pashtuns are on the cabinet. I remember this one tajik was quite pissed about Karzai "pashtunizing" the cabinet. Anyways I will recheck.

Re: Top Taliban arrested from Where?????? Afghanistan (Shame on Karazai from blaming Pak)

Thanks DASBZ_O5, I read that on a forum. It could be wrong.

Re: Top Taliban arrested from Where?????? Afghanistan (Shame on Karazai from blaming

OK so who is issuing your DHOMI-cile and your Passports, Mr. Afghans. In fact even Afghan refugees love to get a Pakistani National ID card and Passport.
