At the top of political agenda! Economy? Jobs? /POVERTY in Pakistan (merged)
Inspired by Shadan’s timely and well put thread
Militance in Pakistan - Do PPPP, PML(N), ANP have an answer for it?
I would like to invite further discussion on a few more equally pressing issues, which were used by the previous govt’s opposing powers to maximum potential for mileage against Musharraf and his allies in order to gain power in the 2008 elections, which they now have.
SO the big talks on poverty, economy, sugar, flour, employment, inflation, foreign investment, local interest, banks and so on- all issues upon which the great leaders of today were sympathetic with the poor, drained masses, need to be addressed asap. Budget time is just round the corner.
What will the new govt do?
What can the new govt do?
Will it subsidize so much to gain instant popularity?
Would that lead to rapid depletion of reserves?
Will poverty be alleviated like they claimed!?
What is the big plan!?
Or will they have to hire Shaukat Aziz the world class economist with 8 years experience of running one of the world’s most distraught economies somehwat successfully, as a consultant on a multi million dollar fee? ![]()
