Re: At the top of political agenda! Economy? Jobs? Etc. or simply bringing dow Mush?
I'm all for electing in good leadership, and anyone who's studied knows that democracy requires a good education base and also requires minimal to zero interference on voting day, neither of which happened in Pakistan. You want to call that democracy, go ahead, but I don't call a sheep in wolf's clothing an actual wolf.
I stand by whoever does good for his country, whether its in the form of a monarch, an absolutist, a democratically elected PM or President, or whatever.
Well expressed PCG!
Well don't just blame Mush bashers here. Don't forget IT IS because of Mush's wonderful NRO (the consequences of which he probably did not think thru clearly at the time), a selfish and ill-advised move that he thought would prolong his kursi that all those bitterly opposed to him are not only back in the assembly but in government. Not that PML-Q lotas are any better but it is mainly because of that presidential decree that we are seeing the same old tried and tested corrupt faces back in parliament. ab bhugto yaani khud hee apnay paaon par kulhaari maar dee. And thanks to Mush the unthinkable has happened, a previously inconceivable PPP-PML-N alliance has happened and their coalition government will not merely take dictations from him like Shortcut Aziz
What do you suggest Musharraf should have done?
When he barred the bad eggs and used the raw material available he was constantly cursed for it.
When he let the bad eggs back in and let the people chose, the people chose the older bad eggs, again.
Why is Musharraf blamed for the nation's rationality or irrationality?
Or would you agree that 1999-2002 was the best when Mush was CE and sole power as dictator without any makeshift democratic setup!?
