Every woman wants to look and feel good. But there are only so much facials and moisturizing we can do. Sometimes we just need an extra hand to help us look great. Here at ButterflyDeals we know women love make up but sometimes wrong application or the wrong colour can just make you look older than your years. So here are some top tips to ensure you leave the house every day looking amazing!!
Foundation
Some people use foundation to cover many things from acne, spots to freckles. Although you can never really hide everything you can reduce the appearance of those things. Choosing the right foundation to match your skin tone is essential. If you get the wrong colour you can end up looking greyish which is not a good look. To ensure you get the best match do not test a colour on your hand or wrist because the colour here will not be the same as your face. You should always check on your jaw line, checking to see if it matches the colour of your neck. Also although it can be so much easier to apply liquid foundation with your fingers, using a brush gives a better texture and you actually use less foundation so it lasts longer.

Eyes
Getting the eyes right on makeup is so important. The eyes can tell a lot about someone so you have to make sure yours are always looking great. Whether you just wear mascara or like a more heavy eyes look it is vital that you know what you are doing otherwise you can end up looking like a panda!!!
When applying concealer remember to pat not rub in. Rubbing it on effectively just means your removing what you have just applied.
Best advice for eye shadow is blend blend and blend. Donât apply just one colour on your whole lid. It looks clumpy and childish. We love Urban Decays palettes. They arenât too expensive and contain lots of fantastic colours.
ButterflyDeals believe that mascara is a must for eyes. It definitely opens the eyes up. Even if you do not wear any other eye makeup just mascara can make a difference. Place the mascara brush at the bottom of your lashes and wiggle it back and forth going upwards. This should be the last thing you apply on your eyes. Lips
One great tip for makeup is that if you have had your eyes made up heavy then keep your lips free of colour or you will just end up looking too colourful. Just apply a nude colour gloss or a gloss with a subtle hint of pink.
However if your overall make up is not too heavy then sometimes a bit of dramatic colour is always fun. We love âRussian Redâ, by Mac, or âGirl About Townâ, also by Mac which is a gorgeous pink colour.
Blusher
The great thing about blusher is if you apply it right you will have a fresh natural rosy look without looking as if you have over done it. Thatâs one thing though blusher can be very easy to look like you have over done it if you apply too much.
There are different types of blushes to choose from but we find that powder blush is good for oily to combination skin and cream blush for dry skin.
The best thing to do when applying blusher is to smile so that you know where the apple of your cheek is. Make sure you use a proper blusher brush, which are usually big and tap off excess blush before applying.
Skin
Finally and most importantly it is so important to take care of your skin. If you donât take care of your skin there is no point spending hundreds on makeup. Start with the basics. Drink plenty of water as it keeps your skin healthy and moist.
Avoid using soap on your skin because it can really dry your skin out. Just remember to cleanse your skin once a day, and use a scrub and exfoliate weekly. Moisturizing your skin is another essential no matter what your skin type is.
