  1. Laptop? Check. Tablet? Check. Smartphone? Check. Backpack that keeps them full of juice all day long with built-in charger and cables to suit all devices? Check.

  2. Can’t bear to leave your home theater behind? Then look no further than the Sony HMZ-T1, a head-mounted portable home cinema system with surround sound that feels like your sitting 12 feet away from a 150-inch HDTV screen.

  3. TripButler is your very own rentable WiFi dongle which hooks up to as many as five devices, enabling you to stay connected when you’re on location and avoid nasty roaming charges in the process. TripButler works in many European countries.

  4. The battery-powered Jawbone UP wristband works with an iPhone app to track your activities and measure your metabolism, and the alert feature is ideal to remind you to take some exercise on holiday.

  5. With a predicted “launch” date of Spring 2012, the Jetlev R200 jetpack uses water to propel the users 30 ft in the air. While owning one of these may break the bank (an estimated $99,500) the good news is they are to be made available for hire for just a day.

Re: Top 10 Travel Gadgets 2012

  1. Yes, Niki is imaptient. :stuck_out_tongue:

  2. Totally loving the mushroom charger. I would say the most useful if not the only useful product on the list.

  3. The bagpack is pretty nifty but who carries all their technological devices with them all the time anyways.

  4. That propeller is so freaking expensive. I’m assuming you just sit 30 ft high and enjoy the view or can you move/fly around?

Re: Top 10 Travel Gadgets 2012

I guess people like Niki would like number 6. :hehe:

Re: Top 10 Travel Gadgets 2012

The futuristic charger is already obsolete. Apple's new ios devices don't use 30 pin connectors anymore.

Re: Top 10 Travel Gadgets 2012

Re: Top 10 Travel Gadgets 2012

So in simple words for us non-techy people it stops charging when battery is full?

Re: Top 10 Travel Gadgets 2012

The propeller seems to be fun...they say you can rent it for a day now...I wonder how much that would cost...maybe they would have it by the hour...

Re: Top 10 Travel Gadgets 2012

The Trip Butler packaging makes them look like deodorant sticks.

Re: Top 10 Travel Gadgets 2012

Probably a lot I imagine. :/

Re: Top 10 Travel Gadgets 2012

yup…it does :cb:

yeaaaa…I guess…

I like the cute wrist watch as well..maybe coz they come in pink

Re: Top 10 Travel Gadgets 2012

I like the back-pack too!
And yes, I carry around a backpack with a ton of my gadgets. You never know when you may need something :snooty:

I’m also eyeing the Sony head-mount kit. 150" tv mouth-watering
I own the MyVu headgear that lets you watch video, appears like a 50" tv as if you’re watching from 10 feet. It was very LaForge back in 2005 but then got old pretty quick. Too many wires!

PS: Oh forgot the link:

Re: Top 10 Travel Gadgets 2012

^that is COOOOOL!!!

and 150" TV
