This is a tough job and hence I refrained from it so long. We grew up with Shankar jaikishen’s songs and none of their songs were trend setting for us since Shankar Jaikishen represented the trend for us. They had the earthiness which madan Mohan lacked, simplicity which was not the forte of OP and the variety+quality that was unparallelled before and after them
My (limited) choice. Dont care if Bhairavi is overepresented here. We care for good tunes. And every musician has a favourite raaga, OP had Piloo and Sj had Bhairavi.
