I have not added Pakeezah songs since music is not by Naushad alone. Notables of Naushad have been blockbusters like ‘Mother India’, "Mughal-e-azam’, ‘Ganga Jamuna’, ‘Baiju Bawara’, ‘Ram aur shyam’, ‘Shahjahan’ (Saigal’s ‘jab dil hi toot gaya’ is in this movie’) ‘anmol ghadi’ (Noor Jehan’s ‘aawaz de kahan hain’) , Andaz etc…
Naushad remained confined to Hindustani classical and folk music of Uttar Pradesh and did not experiment in other directions. But a legend in his own right nonetheless.
