It comes really handy , when I burn my finger while cooking or when hot oil drops splash at me that I know can cause a tiny little blister later on , I immediately apply toothpaste on it .. leave it on for a good 15 minutes and then wash it as usual… it works
What do you keep in your kitchen shelf for similar purposes?
bad idea. One of Niks friend spilled hot milk on her and immediately put toothpaste. Doctor yelled at her, saying that never put any chemical on your burnt skin. Not only that it stops your skin from breathing (it needs oxygen) but chemicals can further damage your skin.
wow really TLk? … well actually i do remember my mom saying that if ever there is a major burn , dont put anything on and immediately seek medical help, but for little burns , I think Toothpaste always works .. it stops the skin from blistering …
My MIL burnt herself once when she was frying food and the hot oil splattered on her hand, she also put toothpaste on it and later when she went to get something to put on it, the pharmacist was like why did you put toothpaste , never put toothpaste. I think he also gave her an aloe vera cream to use
for small burns, just open the cold water and start pouring cold water on the burn continuously. For not-so-small burns, always keep first-aid spray handy.
I use white vinegar (diluted) for small burns, cools the burn down immediately, lessens the pain and you will have no scars whatsoever..... tried and tested nuskha.
