just the fact that you acknowledge this shortcoming is great! insha Allah you will find a way to overcome your hesitation.

start with small gestures…work your way up to the those acts/words that you find most difficult.
many people overlook the significance of words and small gestures of affection…and yet these are the most important buildings blocks.
