I understand your stance, not setting yourself up for a fall..etc, but once you meet this guy properly and the interaction increases your fears should ease out. There are good men out there you know :)

The fact that his parents are involved as well displays a genuine interest in you. Atleast for Desi guys, that's true. Chin up and keep walking! It seems legit.

I just have been involved with two men who have really hurt me and I just cant believe it.

I haven't been the best muslim and i dont know. Is Allah blessing me? Is this happening....

I feel so overwhelmed i want to cry.

Don’t say that your are not the best muslim. Just say that may Allah keeps you aways from doing any sins in future. As you know we all make mistakes that we tend not to.
Allah the almighty sometime put us into such situations to take an exam and see how would we react. However, you should be greatful that Allah is blessing you with so much great blessings. It may be something you have done good that it is now coming in front of you. Just be glad that finally good days are coming to you. My khala says, “Laraib, zindagi mai bure waqt atay hain or ache waqt. Or jab bure waqt aaa bee jaa ain, to Allah zaroor ache waqt le ker ate hain apne bande per” I hope you understood as my urdu is not that well when it comes to writing. :slight_smile: Take care. Always remember Allah. And be thanksful to Allah for everything. :slight_smile:

And I bet you must be reading his emails over and over, and may be writing him email right now :p:p

I don't think you should let your happiness depend on a man's acceptance of you.

Genetically, it's natural to be attracted to bad boy types, but nice guy types make better fathers. In the animal kingdom, females reconcile this by mating with bad boys to get bad boy genes and then letting nice guy fathers raise the kids. Your religion or upbringing may be opposed to this approach, so you're going to have to pick between good genes or good upbringing, or a little bit of both.

sandals. I am happy in every aspect of my life...apart from my messed up relationships.

What is messed up about this situation is, this guy totally accepts me for who i am and im going running scared and feel like im going to fall flat on my face

This guy is everything a girl would ask for. Hes not messing with my head and he is not playing games...and im not used to that.....

I have been hurt very badly twice by men, and i have self worth issues.

do you think you put yourself in cycle of getting hurt? somehow finding the handsome bad boy or the player type that you know would hurt you just b/c you’re so used to it. i know what you’re talking about, i’m kind of the same way. all throughout my studies and even now i’m in that limbo, trying to figure myself out so you’re not alone :k:

yeah after this new nice guy came into my life i realised i purposely went for emotionally available men...maybe because i felt i didnt deserve better maybe because i made myself used to it?

Then you should be getting the support from your inside - rather then reading the fancy words peeps write ere.. Because some of them surely going to make you feel hacked off ...

Stand in front of a mirror - Tell yourself that you have done enough good in this life { and I bet you must have } to deserve this good yoke happening to you ..

Life is much larger - much larger then we expect - much larger to have had one's chips...

My lord gives us chances upon chances - we just need to grab them when they come :)

sometimes u need a little push and a few kind words from people on the outside to guide you to whats inside you which i have found on here :)

you're so cute inspiron, i tried a couple videos on youtube on inner strength and positive thinking, help with anxiety and they've helped me so much, try those if you want, but insha allah he really is as wonderful as he seems, don't mess with a good thing. good luck :)
