So I get a stupid email from a friend saying Don’t Buy Tommy Hilfiger because he made a comment that if he knew that Asians and Africans and Jews and Hispanics were buying his clothes, he wouldn’t have made them so nice as his clothes are designed for upper class whites…so Oprah invited him to her show, asked him if he made that comment, he said yes, and she asked him to leave her show.
Anyway, the truth is that Oprah did invite him to her show, but much after all these rumors had been spread about her kicking him out and all, and clarified on this show that all the above are just bad rumors!
He never made the first statement and had never been on the Oprah show until this particular time.
What’s with people sending emails out like that without checking the facts? Also, can you imagine Mr. Hifiger making a statement like that? He’d have no business if all the mentioned ethnicities didn’t buy his stuff. So, GS folk, do you like his stuff?
