tohid

would any learned scholar care to explain the philosophy of tohid to me.i fail to understand the contradictions inherent in the commen sense view of one God.i’ve thoroughly read kindi razi and farabi so novices please abstain from making rash judgements.
following are some of my questions which would make my point clear

  1. if there is one and only one god who is the only being without the slightist shade of duality, then how can we explain all the plurality in the universe, which is (supposedly)created by him?

2)if, suppose, all this plurality is part of the one being then this supposition ultimately leads to the doctrine of pantheism
which is defenitely not quranic.

3)the hardest netshell to crack is “khuda ki sifat” if we ascribe them to the only being
the whole concept of tohid comes tumbling down.

i’ve a lot more to say but i want to see how people react to this.this is an earnest effort to make islamic belief tangible to the human reason and should be viewed in the same context.

Hi pip,

Could you please let us know if you are a
muslim? Its because if you are not then
no matter what we says you will not believe,
on the other hand, if you are a muslim then
your shak (doubt) is very dangerous as
you are losing your iman. Why? Because read
Alf-Lam-Mim, We believe in the unseen without
slightest doubt in our heart. You may not
like my saying but its better for you to
search the web or look up in the online
islamic book store.

I see no contradiction in the concept of One God.

" if there is one and only one god who is the only being without the slightist shade of duality, then how can we explain all the plurality in the universe, which is (supposedly)created by him?"

What do you mean by the "slightest shade of duality?"

"if, suppose, all this plurality is part of the one being then this supposition ultimately leads to the doctrine of pantheism
which is defenitely not quranic."

Does "plurality is part of the one being" mean the same thing as The plurality was created by the One Being, plurality mean the many objects that exist?

"the hardest netshell to crack is "khuda ki sifat" if we ascribe them to the only being the whole concept of tohid comes tumbling down."

I don't understand what you mean here.
