Toenail issue

Ok lately I’ve noticed that my feet have become extra dry and my toenails are brittle and look really dry and lifeless. I use lotion regularly and have even used a footscrub and extra dry skin lotion. But after sometime it goes back to being dry again, the toes especially. My heels are alright.

Any suggestions? Do I need to get my blood sugar tested?

^ The answer is yes, have u're blood sugar tested.. and take calcium supplements if u're not taking them already.. as well as Vitamins A & D.

Please rule-out any fungal infection as well..nails do become dry/brittle due to it as well.. olive oil or any lotion with cocoa butter is the BEST.

Re: Toenail issue

Gina, thanks.

My annual physical is due so I should be having bloodwork done at that time.

I do take a multivitamin and calcium so I know that isn't it. But I did apply cocoa butter last night after a shower and wore socks. This morning I see a considerable difference.

Re: Toenail issue

use tea tree oil mixed with vitamin e serum(break a vit e capsule) on ur toe nails..someone suggested me this when i had to get my big toe nail removed due to injury its comin back but its really dry n brittle i use these two things..tea tree oil keeps ur toe nails fungal n bacteria free n vitamin e keeps em moisturized

Yayy Alhamdulilah!

Sounds good. I could try that as well.
