hi guys im 11 weeks pregnant and my son just turned one yr old. hes been only BFing And eating baby food. im trying to switch him from bf mlik to whole mlik. hes refusing. hes crying or throwing the bottle or trying to come to me for milk. any ideas as how to get him to drink whole mlk. cuz the bf milk of mine is really low because of pregancy. plz help im worry

When mine refused, I switched her by giving like 1/3 whole milk and 2/3 formula and slowly increasing the proportion. She was already taking the bottle. Are you switching from nursing to a cup/bottle? Or is it bottle-bottle?

i never use bottle to bf my son. i did it directly. now he drink somewhat from sippy cup. i want to stop bf and switch him from bf milk to bottle whole milk. he wont take bottle at all

.. try different nipples.... keep trying the bottle and in a meantime try feeding him with oral syringe...
also u may wanna start from 2% and then after a week or so switch to whole milk

If he hasn't taken the bottle before, don't start it now. Keep trying with the different sippy cups (straws verses cups, etc). Eventually he'll get used to one. You can try flavoring the milk too.

yah guys thanks its just i wish he take bottle then i can give milk in bottle at night when he wake up. ill try flavoring the milk and see .

You wont have to wean him off the bottle later if he is not taking to it now.I'd say try different sippy cups and maybe drink in one yourself too to make it look like fun.He will come to it.It is recommended to stop the bottle after the 1st birthday anyways and if he is not taking it,I think it is a good thing.
I know someone who exclusively breast fed her kid till she was 15 months old and then stopped.She never started the bottle at that age,but the drawback was that the kid kinda gave up on milk altogether.Just a few ounces in the morning and then some at night.

Maybe you should try to stop that habit too.It si not good for their teeth to have milk in teh middle of the night.As my pediatrician said,having something to eat/drink in the middle of the night is a habit anyone can develop,and it might be even fun...but it is totally unnecessary and unhealthy.It will take a bit of adjustment on your part and his,but iA will be fine...:)
