Re: Today in History

Martyrdom of Hazrat Ali r.a. 21st day of Ramadan 40 A.H.

Re: Today in History

two different dates? I think he was injured on 19th and died on 21st Ramadan (February 28, 661 AD)

Re: Today in History

I saw after posting and was :konfused:

Re: Today in History

I heard on geo news it is today n they showed youm e Ali today, google also said 19 ramadan.

Re: Today in History

Youm e Ali is tomorrow. The confusion is because Hazrat Ali was injured on 19th Ramadan during Fajar prayers and due to these injuries he died on 21st Ramadan. I think 'Nehj ul Balagha' also contain some sermons and instruction that he gave to his family during this period.
