Sounds like I struck a nerve with you Demesne ... I was summarising a deep psychological stance in people. Marriage in it's true form is both give and take ... men are the same. I'm quite confident that it doesn't matter what I say ... it's how I treat my woman that counts.
The way to win a woman's heart is to use every "art of war" ... she will conceal it from you even when you have won it ... sometimes listening to her will make her happy, but at other times making her loved by a strong person with a warm embrace when she has been fighting with you but you simply rise above it and show afection - that will also make her melt in to submission. If there is persistence then admit fault, but then turn the situation around to your advantage again.
Give some take more - a man should always be in a position to sow confidence that he "is the man" for his wife.

I think I will add to Psyah's post a bit by agreeing that every tactic is to be employed yes.
But winning her heart is in the smaller things. It is an overall feeling of security you grant a woman. It can come with the kisses he places on her forehead in a protective manner, it can be in the act of smoothing a hair away from her face, it may be in the forwarding of a joke to make her laugh when she has had a tough day, it can be praising her in front of people for a job well done or just being the person she is.
It is always to be found in small acts of kindness.
Kindness is the ultimate key.

Are you hoping there will be some good tips for psyah? 
I think it’s just basically showing her or letting her know that “you” actually think about her - her needs and desires and put her first.
So, she probably says stuff that you barely even listen to or take in but if you did, you will realise that there is some small task that if you did you’d make her really happy because it shows that you pay attention and care.
Like not leaving socks lying around
