Salaam. I would love to wear a Matha patti but I have small forehead like this bride, maybe even smaller. I think she looks stunning in it. Personally, I would want the tikka part to be smaller and the side parts to be much lighter.
Why don't you try some? I personally don't prefer big matha pattis. They can easily look tacky. Honestly, the bride would look so much better and prettier without the matha patti.
go for it! but if your forehead is small, keep it small and naazuk. i find her teeka overpowering. balance is the key! ;)
try several on before you make your final decision.
and keep it one lari too- multiple lari's can be OTT. and not too many dangling bits either- that's distracting.
i also agree with sgc....naazuk is the way to go. I was really confused about whether to wear a maatha patti too because I have a small forehead as well, but I made a one-lari, very delicate maatha patti and I loved it. Like SGC, I hate too many dangling things (even on necklaces frankly)
Thanks for all the suggestions and advice girls. I def feel a lot more confident in wearing one. I couldn't remember the word for lari but that's what I was meaning. Also I think I will try the tikka and jhoomer as well just to get the overall feel. want to get it spot on. :)
my sis went for it and it looked gorgeous on her baraat but it started to drag down as the evening went on and by the time of Rukhsati it just looked a mess. It has to be pinned in a sturdy fashion.
Also, I wouldnt go for it because I have a small forehead but if it looks good on you then definitely go for it :) All the best!

You have good point. So how are these usually fastened?
this ones nice.. the girl has a larger forehead though so she has no problem pulling it off. make sure to get it as close to your hairline as you can.. good luck!
