Every thing that you said makes a lot of sense, what I said before does not go against the norms of passion. The divine definition of “virtue” (2:177) is so complete;
"It is not righteousness that you turn your faces towards the East and the West, but righteousness is this that one should believe in Allah and the last day and the angels and the Book and the prophets, and give away wealth out of love for Him to the near of kin and the orphans and the needy and the wayfarer and the beggars and for (the emancipation of) the captives, and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate; and the performers of their promise when they make a promise, and the patient in distress and affliction and in time of conflicts-- these are they who are true (to themselves) and these are they who guard" (against evil)

If we analyze it, it covers almost everything, a direction to our spiritual life as well as our conduct towards other human being; it identifies the love for affluence and gives us a yardstick for the moral worth in an act of benevolence. Dushwari , we are all born with an amazing passion towards humanity, and most of us are willing to display this passion, yet humanity as a whole is crying under a very inhuman conditions created by fellow human beings why?
I am not sure how interested are you in reading history of human civilization, there are thousand upon thousand movements for a very noble cause, each initiated and lead by very inspiring leaders, always stuck to their cause and displayed strength of character, most of them were wise enough to leave strong institutions to safeguard the culture, unfortunately no revolution brought permanent changes, is it a real test for human race to keep purifying itself, to keep fighting with the forces of impurity, or it is a failure of human as a race?
The ecological system of our planet would purify itself if we don’t put a curb on our greed to take more from it than it can give, it did that in past and it will have to do that again, however not without the extinction of a race, and this time it will be us.
