Re: To the Men: do you notice a woman's makeup&clothing?
I think 90% of the time , women get dressed up for other women.
I personally check out all women at a party. Infact I only check women out. Men are always some where in corner drinking and laughing anyways.
A man never notices all the tiny tidbits simply because he can never pinpoint exactly what all a women had done to look this good. Where as on the other hand we know exactly what the lady / girl in front of has / has not applied for her to be looking the way she does. Whether she has applies highlighter under her eyebrows, used a blusher or a bronzer etc etc.... we can spot even the minute details simply because we deal with these things on a regular basis and our awareness is tremendous
For a man its either she looks good or she doesn't look good. That's all he can make out.
Re: To the Men: do you notice a woman’s makeup&clothing?
yeah, sure they do
I agree though men notice the overall package, it’s usually the clothes that grab the attention more than the actual makeup. Makeup can hide faults and make you look better so you can say makeup achieves its purpose as long as its not overdone and does not attract attention (like the bride for example who might as well have a sign flashing on top of her head ‘please notice my makeup’). Hair plays an important part in creating the overall look and I sometimes check out hands and feet, ugly feet are such a turn off. And fake eyelashes, I always notice those, they don’t look good at all.
Re: To the Men: do you notice a woman’s makeup&clothing?
you don’t notice any of the makeup or anything else but you do notice fake eyelashes. how do you know that a woman’s wearing fake ones?
i never really thought about how critical we women are of other women. i think for the most part I only wondered whether the guys noticed or not, I thought the women were just complimenting because they had to and it’s just something you say to another woman to make small talk.
Re: To the Men: do you notice a woman's makeup&clothing?
It depends on the individual. Some do not need makeup to look good, some need makeup to look good , some do not look good even with makeup on.
There is no universal formula for looking good.
Re: To the Men: do you notice a woman's makeup&clothing?
^but i'm asking whether you notice how much time a woman puts into looking presentable.
i asked a guy once how a girl looked like that he had met, he couldn't even concretely tell me if she was pretty or not or what she looked like. what do men see when they notice or look at a woman.

It is pretty obvious most of the time, no one has eyelashes as long and thick as fake eyelashes lol. Obviously you only notice when you're close up. And no I don't notice what colour eyes, lipstick etc. a girl is wearing, as mentioned earlier it is the overall look = Attractive/Not Attractive. I just pointed out some of the small things I do notice (eyelashes, hair, hands/feet). :)

The hotness factor registers instinctively in a man's mind, the guy might not remember what she looked like but he'll remember whether she was hot or not.

Really?? I thought if they don't notice/remember, it just means she wasn't attractive

i do not wear fake eyelashes but i don't see a difference between fake eyelashes and eyelashes with lots of mascara on.
you said you notice whether a girl is hot or not but hot girls aren't the ones a man marries. :p how do women find a balance between being overly sati savitri(which is fantasy and something out of lala land) and hot(which is not marriage material....I think so)

acha so atleast men notice something
haha, true to some extent. no need to be overly sati savitri, as long you're being yourself and are fun to talk to. you don't know whether someones marriage material or not unless you've talked to them, regardless of whether they're hot or just pretty.
Re: To the Men: do you notice a woman's makeup&clothing?
My expierience is That they have enough notice, first of all the overall package, and then The other little things That are actractive like face, eyes, hands, lips, body, legs...But Those things they notice from close like When you have à conversation.
Re: To the Men: do you notice a woman’s makeup&clothing?
Maybe we do notice things specifically
Jokes aside I agree with Mirch, there is no overall ‘formula’, if someone’s attractive they’re attractive. Obviously I may not be the only guy but girls who look good without makeup…
Re: To the Men: do you notice a woman's makeup&clothing?
