To the married out here...

I am sure like most people, you guys also had certain qualities/characteristics in mind which you wanted or were looking for in your partner.

  1. Did you stress on those qualities while searching for your partner or settled for whatever best you could get?

  2. After getting married, did you feel the qualities that you wanted were in real of no good use in marriage/life? If yes, which qualities were those? :stuck_out_tongue:

  3. Any suggestions/tips for the unmarried regarding what they should be looking for in their life partner.

Re: To the married out here...

I was looking for education, confidence and good family (and was offering the same). It was an even trade and I am happy its working very well for us.

Re: To the married out here...

I am not married .. .. but there is one thing that i would like to share that look for someone for who you can compromise (and he can compromise for you as well). you can't find someone perfect for yourself (and if you are like me i would like to have someone 180 degree opposite to me :D)

The point is the next person should know how to repsect and how to get respected. should be from a decent background

Rest of the qualities can be created or can be accepted .. ;) ..

Re: To the married out here...

other than my usual demands such as education, decent family, and religiousness. i want to get married to someone who can make me laugh, and someone who doesn't act like my father.
i have seen it around me a lot where girls treat their husband with too much formalities, wouldn't say his name, always going to call him "aap", "unhain" etc, be on their toes because they are afraid if they do something wrong such as not iron his shirt on time, he will get mad at his wife etc etc.

i will definitely love, and respect my husband, but i want him to be more of a friend, and no formalities.
lets see if i can find someone like this.
