If given two choices, who would you choose -
First choice: A guy who likes you & you also like him but his family especially his mom doesn’t like you.
Second choice: A guy who likes you but you don’t like him but his entire family especially his mom likes you as well.
Who would you choose & why?

I will go for first one. If i know him very well and he is supportive.
As far as his mother is concerned, I believe the relaitonship of DIL and MIL becomes same after some time. In most of the cases whether love or arrange marriage, they start pointing fingers on each other and fight on small matters, then why should i bother with his mother. What matters really is loving and caring husband. If you have one you can tackle all the situations very easily with his support.

You might not love him if you already love/ like the guy mentioned in Choice A. We are assuming that a girl is given both the choices at the same time.

i have no clue what love is, the only type i know of is the type that my family gives me, i think love only happens after you're around a guy and he's around you and you actually live with each other and care for each other even if there are flaws that need to be corrected. before marriage "love" i don't think exists so i don't see how i would love the guy in choice one if i haven't lived with him yet and see all sides of him.

His mother will eventually brainwash him into hating me if I marry the first one.
I will eventually hate him if I marry the second one.
So why bother? Stay single, travel the world and meet someone whose normal!

Pinky...in your first scenario...there are other factors to consider. Such as will the girl be living with the guy's family? If she doesn't have to live with him....that makes things more bearable. Plus, you've mentioned nothing about the guy's attitude in the first scenario. Is he one who blindly supports his parents' views even if they're unhealthy and detrimental to his marriage? Or is he a reasonable, balanced, and fair individual? If he's the latter.....that too.....would make things easier.
In your second scenario....whether the girl is living with her in-laws ...OR...away from them......in either situation.....her most intimate interactions will be with her husband. They will affect her more than her interactions with her in-laws. And if she's repulsed by him....then it won't matter how much the rest of his family likes her and it's neither fair to him...nor to her. Plus....if she's repulsed by her husband...eventually those negative feelings have the potential to cross over to her interactions with the loving in-laws and strain those relations as well.

The ABCD and BBCD should order their very own Test-Tube Husband...
This way the dear hubby won't be having any women in the role of MIL nor there would be any siblings... the HUBBY would be devoted to the wife and would do anything to make her happy all his life...
if the test-tube is not acceptable then ordering a robot may work.. this way, he would do whatever the WIFEY would program.. obviously no MIL or SIL any other evil in-law problem.. the robot would do exactly what the WIFEY would say.. and would not go astray...
Hence, the life would be heaven on earth...

i think the second option is more better coz after him you have to pass time with his mom n if mom is happy than you are happy too coz you can't stick to the guy all the time.

Other factors like education, family, age etc needs to be considered and compared as these things will be considered by my family (they won't be deciding on the basis of liking only :D)
All such factors being equal, I would go for the first option if the guy is supportive and has gone all the way to make his family and mom agreed for the girl he likes. It will be bad for the guy if the girl leaves him after he did so much for the girl.
