so i think i managed to make you say that.....that it is EQUALLY wrong....i hope you can see through the 'stereo-typing' that men are subjected to here on this particular forum.....and thats all i wanted you to think about.... it is offensive to the 'other party' too when its repeated over n over again........just saying 'not all the men but most' doesn't say much.......like if i said in this particular post that .....you are right....not all women...but most say stupid things......that wouldn't make it unstereotypical would it??

Eye contact is one of the most basic aspects of face-to-face conversation. It shows the person (who is talking) that you're listening to them....that you're focused on what they're saying. Averting your eyes can give the impression that you're distracted, uninterested, or possibly have something to hide. It's a basic form of respect during communication.
Looking away can also be done when a person is giving the cold shoulder...and such a comment reflects concern about the lack of communication. Or it could be that he's distracted by something else (let's say the hot woman across the room) to the point that it becomes offensive. Different situations....but it deals with lack of attention/communicatio/directness.
