A moderator's job is to moderate. That doesn't mean he doesn't or can't have his own views, it just means that to be a fair moderator he should keep many of them to him/herself, especially when moderating a religion forum.
A moderator should not tell posters that they are going to hell or that they are not Muslim if they consider themsleves to be. When that type of narrow view comes from a moderator it is no longer a 'religion' forum, but a sunni fundamentalist forum. If that is what armughal and GS wants, they should change the name of the forum and not pretend they have an open religion forum that encourages free expression.
I disagree with Kaleem in that a moderator's view like 'the earthquake is punishment from Allah' is an unfair comment from a moderator. While it may be ignorant, it does not promote intolerance to other views.
If you want to demean other views (like if yours is diffrent from mine so you will burn in hellfire) then be a regular poster. But if you want to be a credible and fair moderator, realize that other peoples' views are just as relevant to them as yours is to you and don't be so damn judgmental.
