I finally made it to my dream location of Tofino and Ucluelet, it is kind of end of the world and next stop from there is Japan. The amazing undisturbed nature with rain forests, wildlife and beaches lakes and mountains make it the most beautiful place on earth. We used to do a lot of hotels and around 7 years back I switched to camping as I want to feel the nature as close as possible and also you get to wake up right in the forest, lakes , mountains and oceans. No hotel can rival the natural beauty. We had some amazing stops enroute and coming back and I will write about them. Here are some pics to enjoy.
The Hike on Wild Pacific Trail was amazing, the camp ground was right in the middle of the rainforest and backing on the Ocean. Long beach behind the camp ground was amazing. I cooked some really awesome food and also ate out.
Ouch!!! we are a big Salmon eating family, when we went on the whale watching tour the guide told us about the Japanese fisherman who did amazing things for the community and then were sent to camps in 40s and their beautiful properties were never returned. That area has a lot of history and we saw the Native Indian villages and learnt stuff about whale hunting etc. I hope the radio activity does not cause grief as this is one spot I might consider for retirement. There were signs about Tsunami zones.

No the level according to the experts is too low to worry about...so I am not giving up on eating Salmon!,
The SUV came in real handy, I took out the third row seats and we could both sleep comfortably in it. We had a huge cargo box on the roof rack. I really miss the ocean. I will drive out again in end of September to drop Safy to Uni in Okanagan.
