Re: To Pakistanis and Indians…Have you ever fought with your counterpart?

I am a Pakistani and I confess that my life changed for good and forever with the help of two Indians. They were complete strangers to me before we met. They helped me out of their good heart not because of any ulterior motives.

I have been working with Indians since then for last two decades as peers , superiors , juniors , bosses and as a boss. Never ever their or my nationality was a reason for any kind of friction. They make sure that I am successful and I make sure that they are successful.

We treat each other with heartfelt respect. I love them and they love me back.

We do talk about all the controversial issues between India and Pakistan. This discussion never turned into a blame game, it is more of how these two countries can work together to make sure that there is no more wars between them.

When I talk about anything with all of them, I would always say this is how it happens in India and Pakistan nobody ever objected or tried to prove that India or Indians were superior in anyway and I do not do that to prove that Pakistan exists and is equivalent to India in all respects. It is to keep my identity as a patriotic Pakistani.

I was leading an all Indian team in 1998 when India and Pakistan did those nuclear blasts. At that time they knew and I knew that it was so sensitive issue that it is better to leave it to the leaders therefore during one year project this topic was never talked about.

Now what is the reason behind this cordial relationship? Am I coward? Are they cowards? We have this artificial facade? We live in a civilized society? We are scared of consequences of bad behavior at work?
In my heart I know that it is none of the above it is love by proximity, what do you think?
