I’ve already bought an uncut diamond jewellery set with my baraat day outfit, but my dad is now freaking out because he has heard scary stories about the bride being robbed on her way to inlaws.
I really want to wear the set I’ve got! My dad says that he’ll buy me an artificial set or I should take off my jewellery before my rukhsati.
Re: To Karachi Brides- is it safe to wear gold/diamond jewellery?
Get a few cars to escort you, or a trained security guard with gun to sit in front with the driver. I'm sure that wont be tough to arrange. Or if you really wanna be safe change the set into something artificial or silver after rukhsati.
Re: To Karachi Brides- is it safe to wear gold/diamond jewellery?
Silver is cheap right now. If you wear silver then even if it gets stolen the value will not be too much. Karachi is horrible security wise like the tribal areas. I would have at least 3 cars with armed guards.

I know rightt!
Maybe I was underestimating the security condition in Karachi. Thank you for the advice guys, I’ll take it off before Rukhsati then. I so wanted to wanted to walk in into my inlaws house with the jewellery but oh well. Zinda pohunchna zyada zaruri hai.

yup that's what i heard too. that karachi brides dont even wear real stuff any more. but ppl still do of course! i guess they remove it before getting into the car. or change into something really tiny, albeit still real, like a small diamond pendant or a gold chain with a normal pendant :)
