Re: To Dance or Not To Dance…?
LOL?
Pakistanis are South Asians. The entire subcontinent shares a culture. Hindus have adapted several “muslim” traditions as have the muslims of this region adapted “hindu” traditions. That combination of cultures is what makes South Asian culture so fascinating.
And why is following another religion “shameful”? And there you go again with the word crap and referring to another person’s religion. ![]()
You do realize it makes you look really overwhelmingly uneducated, right? It’s attitudes like these which give Pakistanis a bad name. Maybe you’re forgetting your ancestors but you cant change history. My family used to sikh and i’m sure before that they were probably hindus. I, along with many other Pakistanis, love the multi-religious aspect of South Asian culture and take pride in it. Those traditions in Pakistani weddings aren’t “hindu” but rather “desi”. Hindus have adapted several of muslim traditions and you know what? Similar traditions are followed all over the Subcontinent. Please dont embarrass yourself and other Pakistanis with your ignorance. Kthanks.
No, you are not. It’s quite common and it’s still a huge trend amongst my family as well. ![]()
