FT…do you think though you will be compromising on a very basic right of yours when you consider a non-virgin male for marriage? Do you think you’re being put in this position because as a woman…you will end up compromising more in life so you have no choice but to accept a non-virgin male?

Basically, is this consideration out of majboori? A majboori because you’re a bebass and mazloom aurat?

What you are saying is exactly correct but thats how I would think some 5-6 yrs back when I was not exposed to the real world. Five yrs back I was not considering even the Divorcees just coz the thought of him once being with another woman/already touched a woman, was not acceptable for me. Now the situation has changed altogether. After life has taught me some tough lessons. Now I want him to be true to me and do not lie about anything. I dont want that he reveals all the truths once I have tied the knot with him. I have seen, in two cases, where the grooms told their brides in first 3-4 days of marriage, that they had been involved in such affairs, even one told he was already married in US . Tell me where will it leave you if you were the bride?

If I keep this condition that i want a man with absolutely clean past as I have, or a man who has kept his haya protacted for me (his wife) like I have kept mine for him, then prolly i ll never get married - Or may be i will get proposals from lots of liars. I cannot stand liars. I pray to Allah that in reward of my modesty and patience, give me a man whose heart is filled with love for me, and whose heart is filled with love for You.
