To ALL Members

In this forum, everyone’s entitled to their own views, and u should be able to respect that. I’m not asking you to respect what they believe in, thats up to you, i am asking you to respect their right, their freedom to think/believe whatever it is they wish to believe.

In regards to shia/sunni, wahabi/non wahabi, etc., I have no problem with sincere, genuine discussions conducted in a courteous manner. But when people refuse to acknowledge the right of another person to believe whatever it is they wish to believe and therefore engage in ceaseless arguments that lead nowhere except perhaps to insults and personal attacks it cannnot be called a debate nor can it be classified as a ‘good’ discussion. When people can neither retain their sense of civility nor can they respect the rules then the threads will be closed. Posts and comments that only serve the purpose of petty, superficial arguments are not appreciated, and they also will be deleted.

This forum is a place where people come to share information, learn from each other, and even debate. It is NOT a place to indulge in personal attacks or crusades defaming another’s beliefs, values, and religion.

Please keep that in mind.

Does your coments apply to Hindutwa, Hindus, Sikhs etc?

**JAZAKALLAH KHAIR

G.F.Q. I agree with you and support you with all my strength God has given to me.
You Must and Must do what you are souppose to do.**
I feel sorry about our Guppos who are not even taking consideration of the Holy month of Ramadaan and are lecturing on their's/other's believes.
Those who do not believe in the blessed month of Ramadaan and does not respect it, have they any right to say any thing about other's beliefs?.
Oh Allah forgive me and others, show us the right path and make it easier for us to follow it. Amin.

The high number of threads that needed to be locked out, and the abnormally high number of posts that needed to be edited by GFQ, is a sorry proof that these simple rules are not getting through to some participants...

I hope, you all realize that there is a zero-tolerance policy in effect for those who are unable to comprehend these simple rules of debate and discussion.

Please continue to state your opinions and your points of views, without embroiling in meaningless personal insults and name-calling.

Especially avoid, retorts and bickering in this month of Ramadhan...

Mods: Tell me something. Are you just here to make sure people don't give out false information or are you here just to make sure that these "discussions" are conducted peacefully regardless of content.

If it is the latter, then maybe you should refrain from posting any of your views, as any bias could cloud your judgement. If it is to be fair then you need to be very impartial. Let me leave you with a hadith (haven't got the references at the top of my head)

"..If you see something wrong then fix it with your hands, if you cannot fix it with your hands then fix it with your mouth, if you cannot fix it with your mouth then fix it with your heart..."

Clarify your roles, as you'll be doing an injustice to Muslims if you let any hypocrisy get in the way.

Jazakallah

I personally think that ones role as a moderator doesnt/shouldnt forbid him/her from expressing their own views. It hasnt stopped me, and it wont either. And i think that its very possible for a mod to be able to express their own views and still make sure there is peace and tranquility in a thread.

Anger and hatred is a weapon of the weak. If u cant defend or clarify ur position/faith with the facts, how on earth do u expect to defend them with hate?

And furthermore, honestly speaking, I dont think anyone here expects anyone to just read an anti sunni/shia/wahabi post and say, OK, sunnis/shias/wahabis are bad. Knowing this very well, people still continue to go on with their personal vendettas. What does that tell u about their faith? Nothing. What does that tell u about their personality? Loads. So its upto each and every individual to exercise some common sense while posting a response. We should all run through our posts twice in order to make sure it isnt something that we would be offended by, if the same were directed at us.

And the argument that 'he started it' is an old one. So dont go there. We are only responsible for ourselves. What someone else says is not going to change the facts.

Subhanallah, I have been trying to keep that in line, but subhanallah.

I personlay donnot accept insults and even arguments. Insha'llah, by the end of this holy month, may Allah make it blessed onto all of us, all of us our love for each other for the sake of Allah increases.

If we keep our best roled model, Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu ^Alayhi wassallam, as legacy and if we learn from his great manners and honorable behavior, we would not have any problems.

May Allah make us from the ones who follow the route of Prophet Muhammad.
