My colleague just showed me his Jailbroken unlocked Iphone 4 on Tmobile where network signal turned from Edge to 3G, few moments ago. He was very excited. Actually I am excited too.
I am not sure if its happening in selected markets only or nationwide. Can someone confirm please?
Re: Tmobile network supporting Iphones on 3G

Re: Tmobile network supporting Iphones on 3G
well in future, if I want to try out Iphone 5, at least network speed will not stop me from doing that.

^ good for them, its about time. They were stupid that they lost so much business in last so many years just because they did not have network compatibility. Now they should start working towards become partner of Apple. I mean 5 million Iphone 5 were sold in 1st 3 days of launch. If TMobile was official partner, it could have gotten a good chunk of that business considering that their plans are probably the best plans in USA.

Re: Tmobile network supporting Iphones on 3G
they dont have single LTE tower. It is not possible for them to start service till the end of this year too. please correct me if I m wrong.
Furthermore, the company says it has selected Ericsson and Nokia Siemens to support its LTE network transformation, which it hopes to launch in 2013. The agreement includes installing “state of the art” LTE Advanced equipment at 37,000 sites on T-Mobile’s 4G network. LTE Advanced is newer than the LTE technology currently used by AT&T and Verizon.
Re: Tmobile network supporting Iphones on 3G
STA you are corrected as you’re wrong. This is HSPA+, not LTE.

STA from the link provided:
A report last December suggested that the company was refarming parts of its spectrum to bolster its next-gen HSPA+ network, running in the much more common 1900MHz spectrum, which allows unlocked iPhones to connect at 3G speeds.
