What was the reason behind keeping long titles in sub-continents rulers?

Shehnsha e Muazaam Zill e Illahi Jalal u din Muhammad Akbar, Jahan Panah… (Pani lao)

Was this also common in other parts of the world?

But a simple single title would serve the purpose. Do you know that Mughals used to give their queens separate titles too

Noorjehan was a title given by Jehangir to his beloved queen Mehr u nisa..... Jehangir's mother Rajkumari Hira Kunwari was given title of Maryam u zamani begum (Mary of the period)

Love for 800 wives :nono: It was status related. They didn’t give titles to all wives. Just the beloved one from elite class

I told you after a nakaam ishq with Anarkali, Jehangir urf Saleem Urf Sheikhoo got 800 ladies in his harems.. purane zamane ki khwateen sokan / sakane aasani se bardasht kar leti thin

Love for 800 wives :nono: It was status related. They didn’t give titles to all wives. Just the beloved one from elite class

no it was just like…jis par zyada dil a gaya…usay khush kar diya…anarkali wasn’t belong to elite class, but her real name was Nadira/Sharfunisa

Anarkali was not that much respected title though.. and thats another debate whether she really existed or not

haan, aam aurtein kar leti thein, unko to phir malka ka status milna hota tha, unhon nay tu karna hi tha…but mein badshah kay love ki baat kar raha tha…as DA said…ke badshahon ko un say pyaar tha
