Just got a bit interesting eh? I know Arsenal’s out of it bar a major miracle, but what a game today. Finally we beat Utd. That too 1-0, the least likely scoreline you’d expect from Arsenal. Alas, if only we hadn’t thrown the Tottenham (both games), Liverpool and Newcastle games so spectacularly, we’d be home and dry now.
Anyway, so it all comes down to next weekend’s clash. Winner takes all. Utd have the upper hand though, they only need a draw so that’s what I expect with them being at home. That said, Chelsea will be well up for this one.
No..seriously I don't see Chelsea beating Utd at OT. However, I think the only reason Utd are even winning this title in the first place is because all the other teams have been incredibly ****. Look at Arsenal collapses from winning positions this season, they should've had the title wrapped up now! And Chelsea, despite their unbelievable extended blip in the middle of the season are still in a position to win it.
It has been one of those seasons when no team seems to want the title enough. and ALL teams had the chance to wrap it up already. Biggest chance was for Arsenal and they blew it. By bye for Arsene Wanger methinks.
On current form in PL, Chelsea can pull it off at OT. It should make for a fascinating watch though.
Wenger has lost it big time. He keeps insisting that his young players will win silverware but its been 6 years and every year they have come up short.. mostly mentally. He needs to have experienced heads around.
wenger needed just a few key players, and he needed to realize that if you lose an academy growm player or he fizzles or something you get someone right to replace him. hanging on to almunia for what? and when your best defender gets injured for the whole seaso u replace him with shyte? how can you win.
Now maybe, just maybe the baord knew that eventually one of the two dudes dukin it out for arsenal will win, and they wanted to get as much fior their shares as possible, and that meant keeping outflow of cash at minimum, so publically they may say yes we have money for transfers but privately asking wenger to just deal with it.
The man who built the invincibles can not become so stupid all of a sudden..
the invincibles were built on very strong defence line, the current defensive line is even poorer than medicore clubs...e.g. vs new castle 4-0 to 4-4..who would have thought!
IMO, wenger refused to splash out big cash when Chelseas, Real Madrids and ManCitys of the world were buying players on daily basis. He wanted to prove all of em wrong. Unfortunately, 6 years without a trophy prove him wrong.
