Lussi, i have never had the need to use the snow tires, cos it never snows where i live

Gislaveds are imported into the US. Usually you can find them at Volvo dealers though some large tire speciality places probably have them too for less.

Michelin X-Ice tires doesn't make you feel like snow/ice on the road but they are expensive as compared to other crap

For me it was a choice between Yokohama Avid V4S and BF Goodrich Traction T/A H. Both have realy good ratings in all caterogies like traction, tread wear etc. The Yoko’s are known to be somewhat quieter than BFs because of their thread design. I wanted to go with those, but since no one carried them locally, I decided to go with BF. So far I’m really liking them.
