im thinking of gettng new car tires. What tires are best for snow traction?

Lussi, i have never had the need to use the snow tires, cos it never snows where i live :cool:. Why dun you ask the car-dealers or those mechanics at places like pep boys?

Gislaveds are imported into the US. Usually you can find them at Volvo dealers though some large tire speciality places probably have them too for less.

Michelin X-Ice tires doesn't make you feel like snow/ice on the road but they are expensive as compared to other crap

For me it was a choice between Yokohama Avid V4S and BF Goodrich Traction T/A H. Both have realy good ratings in all caterogies like traction, tread wear etc. The Yoko’s are known to be somewhat quieter than BFs because of their thread design. I wanted to go with those, but since no one carried them locally, I decided to go with BF. So far I’m really liking them.
