it's an Indian mentality at it's best, violent, pathetic and full of jahliet, what else can I say.
Maybe you punish people in India who watch Pakistani drama but we on the other hand are very forgiving and peace loving people.

Arey baba - Why should I ?? I am not the one who has started a whole thread on 'Stop Watching Bollywood'. You are the one who wants to dictate impose his will on others.
If People in India are happy by watching Pakistani Dramas or listening to Pakistani music, Why should I stop them, If that makes them happier, My suggestion to them is to go watch and listen more and more of them ? I myself listen to Pakistani music and given an opportunity would also like to watch Pakistani Dramas.
The writer of the article went on to describe a scene where 'Muslim Men are abducting and raping Hindu Girls'.

and how about the classic anti-Islam scene from Gaddar in the beggining where a Sikh father of two teenage girl migrating from Lahore hands them poisonous pills telling them, "baitio jaan da dina magar kisi muslman ko apni izat per hath mut dalney daina." Had he said Pakistanis it would've been fine but look at the mentality of writers, director and actors who're ignorently insulting a religion. And btw, how did he know that muslims r gonna rape his daughters? last I checked people migrating wern't expecting such assults.

As always you missed the point completely. My post merely shows is that in this forum (Shor Sharaba) there are more discussions about Pakistani entertainment industry and Hollywood/English movies/music. And fewer discussions about Indian movies/music. No where do I feel the need to justify or defend Bollywood, cz they are mostly crap productions anyway. You can go ahead and prepare all kinds of lists to prove whatever you are trying to prove, cz frankly I haven't even heard of 90% of the movies you are talking about. Propaganda movies, especially against Pakistan or Islam, never interest me in the slightest.
Main point is, no one is forcing anyone to watch or not watch Bollywood movies, I expressed my opinion of the fact these anti-pak/anti-islam movies are targeting the Indian audience so they can be brainwashed and us Muslims/Pakistanis are supporting these idiots by watching and paying for their movies. So they can make more and more movies like that in the future.
Hey Guys!!! I have an idea, how about we all get a life, watch what we want and while we're at it live and let live??
I do agree that some films do have a completely biased and ultimately negative message but it is completely up to the viewer and wheither or not they are prepared to accept s*** as the literal truth. That goes for all corners of the known world.
I could almost consider myself a genius if it wasn't so obvious. Not only that but as I too am a non-filmi dudette (there must be more of us out there)-I recommend going for a run to let off all these hostile feelings. I would post something more philosophical about the nature of mass control via popular cultural influences or media sources, but as it happens I am going to pop.
Ironic isn't it?
Perhaps me saying this is a ploy by the tree huggers trying to get people to stop watching movies, perhaps I too am a source of public control.
Whatever I am, I have a parting message:
CHILL OUT!
