Tips for some nice shops for fancy dresses in London?

Hi,
I’m wondering if you could give me some names of shops in London which
have some nice clothes, doesn’t matter if it’s a “designer” or not.
I’m looking for party/evening wear.

I’m planning for buying some clothes or perhaps ask someone in the shop
to design for me.

It would be very nice if I could get some names with good experience.

Thanks alot!

Hi Sanna,
You can check out posh, poshak mahal, maysa or dhoom designs. I dont know about there exact location but they are some of our buyers in UK.
You can also try us we have been working for more than 6 years and from 2007 we are running boutiques in toronto and maryland.
You can order only one dress for first time to check our quality or work and value it. If you order online it cost lesser than buying from toronto or maryland stock.
We have our own manufacturing unlike any other boutique in UK or US which makes us giving dresses on wholesale price to customers.
We do replicas as well as we have our own designs too.
You can visit us at:

or mail us : [email protected]
Thanks

Hi - go to Green Street, east London - the only shop I like there is Henna/Mehndi. They have reasonable casual/party wear for reasonable prices too, and the fashion is not too far behind from Pakistan (especially if you compare their clothes to every thing else on Green St which is ughh)

Try going Ilford Lane also - kind of North London. Imaani is again another reasonable shop for casual/party wear, quite similar to Mehndi. As is Maria's and Shades. If you want to go a bit more expensive with nicer designs and styles, go to this shop Phulkari (I only discovered yesterday) - they work directly with designers like Sana Safinaz, threads and motifs, to create evening/formal/bridal wear (veryyyyyyy expensive - I saw a beautiful SS green jora in there yesterday for about £400!). Ermm, also if you want to go somewhere in between those two price ranges, I'd try shops like RDK (I think it's called...) it's a designer shop with prices slightly higher than the likes of Mehndi and Shades, but quite nice joras. OMG I forgot to mention my FAVOURITE shop on Ilford Lane - Beejees! They have designs direct from Lahore, and their dresses are so beautiful and so affordable. Great for party wear.

Aside from Ilford Lane, also try the markets in Southall - you can get made to measure suits from there which can be nice, but generally their ready-made jorras are disgusting.

Ermmm.....that's about it in London really. Not much choice at all. Considering you're looking for party wear I'd try Beejees first, my fave shop these days <3

Let me know how you get on, and if you come across any other hidden gems in London that I haven't heard of - I'd love to hear of them!
