What are the usual tips for pregnant ladies who are in their 6 weeks? what did u guys do? I know the usual Surat yusuf surat yaseen drink loads milk veg and water. but what else?

plz share.!
thanks

I read sura-e-yaseen , sura-e-muzammil & sura-e-rahman. but i dont follow a particular pattern , randomly as and when i get time . usually on friday i read all of the above plus I do nafl-e-hajat.

my mil told me to read sura-e-mariam and my mom told me to read sura-e-waqea. i haven't read any of these as yet.

i made a practice of having atleast 1 glass of milk (200ml) everyday. I make sure to have fruits with my lunch. I eat beetroot (chukandar) everyday as it is good in making blood. I avoid fried food , soda drinks and sweetened juices.

try to keep a balance of all i.e. protein , carbs , fiber ....

if u drink coffee reduce its consumption.

take a tablet of folic acid everyday dr must have already prscribed it to you.

wish u a smooth pregnancy :)

Congrats on your pregnancy! :flowers:

  • Take folic acid tablets daily.
  • Pray and read Quran. Read Surah Maryam daily.
  • Try to stop drinking tea/ coffee/ soda’s and other carbonated drinks *(as my health visitor once told me those can cause leg cramps!) *and reduce chocolate!
  • Try to eat healthy e.g. fruits, drinking fresh juices, green veggies, orange juice, beans, rice etc and try not to eat junk food, spicy food, fatty food or fried food and this can help prevent heartburns too!
  • Wear comfy, low-heeled shoes and if you find that your feet are swelling then see your Doc asap.
  • Keep your home well lit to avoid falling etc (I have heard of enough accidents!)
  • Stay away from cigs and people who smoke them!
  • Stay hydrated!
  • If you are suffering from nausea then try eating smaller frequent meals. (I always kept cheese crackers on me!)
  • Go for a walk everyday and keep active as much as you can. You could do some mild exercises but ask your GP first if you should start a new exercise!
  • Try not to get stressed!
  • Go to see your midwife often.
  • Go shopping and spoil yourself!

That’s all I can think of now…but most importantly stay thinking positive and enjoy your pregnancy!

Best of luck!
