Tip of the week: Stopping buttons from falling out

This is a good one and it works well ..

Re: Tip of the week: Stopping buttons from falling out

samajh nahin aaya? you mean nail polish can make button sticky? what will happen when you wash it?

Re: Tip of the week: Stopping buttons from falling out

Nahi it wont make it sticky, basically, a button falls out coz the thread either loosens or it breaks, right? So when you put a layer of polish on top of that thread, it sort of stops the thread from breaking easily or even loosening. Nothing happens after a wash. Its water resistant for a few washes. But you keep an eye on it and if it is fading slightly you can top it up again.

This trick usually helps the most if you are in an emergency and want to wear a shirt on which you notice the thread on a button loosening up and you dont have the time to fix it. Simply put a polish layer on it and that should give you enough time to deal with the problem later.

At the end of the first post of ‘Tip of the week’ threads can you add links to all other ‘tip of the week’ threads. It would be helpful.

What about the smell?

An alternative to that is to lose some weight, so the shirt does not get tight enough for the buttons to rip fly off from the fabric :frowning:

What happens if you take your eyes off the button?

Re last sentence, procrastination is the thief of time.

The best solution is to have a Kurta or t shirt type design. With fake buttons in front.
